Monitoring that explains what happened
Website timing monitoring for TTFB and HTML requests
Find slow responses without treating every slowdown as a hard outage. These measurements cover the HTML request, not a rendered browser page.
Measure distinct network stages
Inspect DNS, TCP, TLS, time to first byte, transfer and total request timing where the transport provides reliable measurements. Redirects and connection reuse can affect individual stages.
Compare with retained history
A bounded historical baseline helps identify sustained degradation. A performance event is separate from an availability incident; a site can be reachable and slow.
Know the boundary
HTML request timing is not LCP, a complete asset waterfall or a visitor experience measurement. Full browser execution remains a separate gated capability.
Common questions
Does this measure a full page load?
No. It measures the bounded HTML request; scripts, images and browser rendering are outside this check.
