HTTP Status Checker
Check the HTTP response from a public URL and understand redirects, client errors and server failures.
Read the actual response
A 200 response means the server accepted this request. It does not verify a login, checkout or every page dependency. A 301 or 302 points elsewhere; a 404 means this resource was not found; a 5xx response indicates a server-side failure.
Investigate an unexpected status
Verify the exact path and hostname, then compare a browser request with your application and reverse-proxy logs. A 403 may be an intentional access or bot rule. A 503 can occur during maintenance or when upstream capacity is exhausted.
What this checker sends
The tool sends one bounded GET request without credentials, cookies or redirect following. Redirect destinations can be inspected with the redirect checker. The response body is not retained.
Common questions
Does 200 prove my application works?
No. Use content or API assertions for expected behavior and a dedicated workflow check for multi-step processes.
Why does my browser show a different result?
Cookies, authentication, geography, caching and bot rules can change the response. This is one unauthenticated observation.
