Latency is the observed round-trip time from this service. Packet loss is the fraction of probe packets without replies during this short sample. A small sample may vary and should not be treated as a long-term reliability measurement.
No reply does not always mean down
Some hosts and firewalls intentionally block ICMP. If a website loads but Ping fails, check its ICMP policy or use HTTP/TCP monitoring for the service you actually need.
Investigate a slow result
Compare repeated observations with the host’s normal behavior and your application checks. Geographic distance, routing, congestion and host load can all affect latency. This tool does not measure from your own browser or every region.
Common questions
Can I test a private IP address?
No. Local, private and reserved destinations are blocked. Enter a public hostname or public IP.
Will Ping tell me whether checkout works?
No. It measures network replies. Use HTTP or API assertions to check the application response.
